  1. Engage with environmental organizations, campaigns, and individuals on social media and share their content when appropriate.
  2. Always bring reusable shopping bags for grocery, opt for reusable containers for cooking and preserving food, and reduce the usage of plastic bags.
  3. Participate in thrift shopping and avoid fast fashion brands. Additionally, research brands on their sustainability commitments, workplace ethics, and human rights protection and purchase from those who honor them.
  4. Calculate my carbon footprint and reduce it when possible, such as by taking bus or Amtrak instead of planes.
  5. Give away items that are not needed to places like Goodwill; repurpose my belongings when moving out of dorm.
  6. Read at least 2 articles from climate and sustainability columns per week.
  7. Turn off the lights and heating when leaving the room and engage in conversations around sustainability on campus.
  8. Look into student clubs, local organizations and individuals who are working in the field to connect and work with them.
  9. Instead of giving birthday presents, purchase trees or virtually adopt animals for friends as a way to give meaningful, non wasteful presents while restoring the wildlife and environment.
  10. Be positive and believe that the changes we make do have an impact.

A punch list can be for an individual, family, community, company, or city.  It is the list of the actions you or a group will undertake and accomplish over a predetermined span of time—one month, one year, five years, or more. You can make different lists for different time periods—this week and this year for example.
