Scott Hannan is growing a garden full of vegetables and flowers that feeds his family and solar powered community in the Lick Creek Valley of the Appalachian mountains.
He is also a cook, runner, painter, amateur ecologist, teacher, clay pot aficionado, father, contemplative, storyteller, baker, and freelance writer. He drinks tea.
He leads zazen practice every Thursday at 5:15 p.m. in the makeshift zendo above the creek.
