- I want to switch to a nice metal refillable bottle after Christmas because the average American uses about 13 plastic bottles per month. If I get this is 0, then I can save over a hundred bottles per year (average).
- I typically do, but from now on I plan to only wash my clothes using cold water. This will save around 90% of the energy used by a washing machine.
- I plan to use more reusable shopping bags. This will save pounds of plastic over the upcoming months, let alone years.
- I plan to use more natural light throughout the day. Opening the blinds throughout my apartment will save money and the amount of energy we use monthly as a whole. Also, I'm sure that there are health benefits to doing this as well.
- I plan to buy food from local famers and producers. This will give me better quality food while conserving energy throughout the packaging and shipping processes. This will eliminate the use of many plastics and the use of excess, unneeded gas.
A punch list can be for an individual, family, community, company, or city. It is the list of the actions you or a group will undertake and accomplish over a predetermined span of time—one month, one year, five years, or more. You can make different lists for different time periods—this week and this year for example.
