Punch List

  1. I would like to see people use more solar panels on each home and general solar grids between homes to create a much cheaper and energy efficient system. This would help to reduce fossil fuel use in towns and cities. To reach this I will work towards getting solar power within my home, at least with passive solar systems.
  2. I would like to see people have more of their own personal home food gardens and natural cycles with composting within these home gardens. This will help reduce land use for monocropping and will provide people with much fresher foods on a more consistent basis. To reach this I will use more plots on my property to grow vegetables and other crops to eat.
  3. I would like to see more people using public transport or bikes in their towns to get to jobs, either through having 5-minute cities, having more public transit systems within a city, or through more safe bike paths that connect through towns more freely. To reach this I will try to use a bike more often to get to my job within Monticello as I live only 10 minutes away by bike from my work.
  4. I would like to see more people have geothermal systems in their home to help with heating within their homes for much cheaper and much cleaner. Unfortunately, I don't live in a home that can do this currently (trailer), but when I do get a more permanent home I plan to immediately choose a home with geothermal.
  5. Finally, I would like to see people having more biodiversity on their properties that can benefit pollinators and create an ecosystem for many other insects and small animals. I plan to reach this by removing as much small, mown down grasses as I can on my property, and instead planting a large amount of wildflowers, tall grasses, and some small vegetables for other animals on my property.

A punch list can be for an individual, family, community, company, or city.  It is the list of the actions you or a group will undertake and accomplish over a predetermined span of time—one month, one year, five years, or more. You can make different lists for different time periods—this week and this year for example.
