Punch List

  1. Instead of waiting until last minute, plan ahead and make less impulsive fashion related purchases. I know that when I wait until the last minute, not only do I spend more time and money, but also am more likely to buy things that I do not need and will eventually throw away after one use.
  2. Be more diligent with the design projects that I had in mind and repurpose items that already exist in my closet. For example, a shirt design that I sketched that can be made with something that I already own, but do not use.
  3. Shop from more "sustainable" stores. Whether it's investing in more quality pieces, up-cycling, or buying second hand, try to purchase from places that have a smaller carbon footprint.
  4. Look at the ingredients inside makeup products – avoid micro plastics and chemical based sunscreens. Micro plastics are bad for the ocean, because animals can consume them, and chemical sunscreens are not reef safe.
  5. Dedicate more time to developing my own business. Meet with Esther once a week to discuss how we will experiment with our prototypes on the other sides of the coast.

A punch list can be for an individual, family, community, company, or city.  It is the list of the actions you or a group will undertake and accomplish over a predetermined span of time—one month, one year, five years, or more. You can make different lists for different time periods—this week and this year for example.
