Punch List

  1. Reduce water waste. In today's world, we overuse water from showering, cooking, brushing our teeth, and big corporations creating materialistic items.
  2. Produce reusable items instead of easy-to-go items. We use water bottles, plastic bags, paper bags, and many other items that don't even make it to our trash cans. In addition, we have overfilled landfills that are becoming a problem for a diverse amount of reasons.
  3. Reduce the number of fossil fuels used. We can do this by transitioning into electric vehicles or passive solar.
  4. Shopping secondhand is good for the environment considering we drive everywhere or have things shipped to us daily. The amount of fossil fuels and overuse of materials that go into creating, packing, and transporting these goods is too much on the environment. It causes more trees to be cutdown daily. Therefore, if we shop second-handily, we can stop the overuse and inherit reusable customs.
  5. Using longer lasting materials is another action that needs to happen. With materials biodegrading on a short cycle causes groundwater damage, polltution, toxins, and other issues. With longer lasting objects like lights, water bottles, clothing, and other day-to-day items can make life more sustainable by the year.

A punch list can be for an individual, family, community, company, or city.  It is the list of the actions you or a group will undertake and accomplish over a predetermined span of time—one month, one year, five years, or more. You can make different lists for different time periods—this week and this year for example.
