- Cut down on fast fashion: I’ll buy less and buy smarter. I can shop at thrift stores, clothing swaps, and use quality basics that last.
- Say no to single-use plastic: I'll carry a reusable water bottle, utensils, and a tote bag every day.
- Eat less meat: I’m not going fully vegetarian, but I can choose more plant-based meals.
- Walk, bike, or take the bus: If I can get to class or the store without driving, I will. It saves gas and helps me move more, too.
- Use my voice on campus: I’ll speak up in clubs and student orgs to push for more sustainable events, recycling bins, and greener policies.
- Recycle right: I’ll take the time to learn what my city or school accepts and stop throwing things where they don’t belong.
- Use less energy: I’ll unplug things when I’m not using them, turn off lights, and try not to blast the AC or heat when I don’t need it.
- Support climate-conscious businesses: Whether it’s coffee shops, brands, or apps, I’ll spend my money where it counts.
- Talk about climate without shame or blame: I’ll keep it honest, but also hopeful. Guilt doesn't help, but conversations can spark change.
- Keep learning, and keep going: I'll keep up with what’s happening, stay curious, and remind myself that progress > perfection.
A punch list can be for an individual, family, community, company, or city. It is the list of the actions you or a group will undertake and accomplish over a predetermined span of time—one month, one year, five years, or more. You can make different lists for different time periods—this week and this year for example.
