- Solar, wind energy, and electric vehicles are the future of sustainability. We need to support these markets and refuse to support the coal industry. I have solar panels on my house and a hybrid vehicle already, but I intend to buy a generator and switch from natural gas appliances. I intend to go fully electric with my vehicle and home.
- Any industry that does not have 100% sustainability/antipollution goals in mind need to be nixed from our shopping lists. I have a history of voting with my dollars and intend to go farther with this, only supporting brands that are certified organic and certified sustainable. I will be practicing "refuse" as much as possible.
- I currently have a physically rigorous career, which prompts me to shower and use a lot of clothing items on a daily basis. I will aim to reduce my water use by using wash clothes to wipe down on days when I can get away with it, and reduce my shower time to less than 10 minutes when I can't. I will reuse clothing layers in the winter that have not come in contact with my skin, to save on laundry water use.
- I currently recycle and reuse many of the items I do buy, I would like to take it a step further and begin composting items/yard waste that cannot be recycled into nutrient rich matter. I would like to use this matter to start a backyard garden.
- I intend to share ideas of environmental conciseness and sustainability daily with as many people as I can. We currently cannot depend on the system to make people aware of the measures that need to be taken to support our planet, I hope to incite more change in my local community.
A punch list can be for an individual, family, community, company, or city. It is the list of the actions you or a group will undertake and accomplish over a predetermined span of time—one month, one year, five years, or more. You can make different lists for different time periods—this week and this year for example.
