  1. Make sure all lights are off when not being used. Sometimes I'm not very good at this, and this simple habit will preserve a lot of electricity.
  2. Make an effort to recycle more. This is another thing that I am not very conscious of but will work on.
  3. Plant more trees! My house has plenty of land area for it and it will be great for the environment.
  4. Buy less clothing. I love to go shopping, but buying fewer clothes and accessories will be much more sustainable and energy conscious.
  5. Use less water and be more aware of its use. I believe this is something that I am pretty aware of already, but I want to try to keep my family more accountable.
  6. Ride my bike more. Because so much of my family lives close to me, I could easily walk or ride my bike to their houses instead of driving.
  7. Buy more local foods. Instead of going straight to the supermarket, I will try to purchase from local organizations.
  8. Hang clothes up to dry instead of using a dryer. This will save a lot of electrical energy!
  9. Contact local representatives in my community, and make sure they understand the importance of being aware of problems in our society and world.
  10. Unplug electronics when I'm not using them. There is no reason for the television, phone chargers, or other various electronics to be plugged in when I'm not using them (and often won't use them for a while!).

A punch list can be for an individual, family, community, company, or city.  It is the list of the actions you or a group will undertake and accomplish over a predetermined span of time—one month, one year, five years, or more. You can make different lists for different time periods—this week and this year for example.
