Punch List

  1. The amount of red meats I consume is a large contributor to my water footprint, and thus should be reduced.
  2. The clothes I buy occasionally come from low-quality/fast fashion companies, something that can be fixed by buying more sustainably made clothing.
  3. Generally buying clothes and products made to last longer, and reducing the amount I buy items/lengthen time between replacing items.
  4. Shortening shower length, though a small step in the grand scheme of things, would be beneficial.
  5. Reducing the amount I travel, whether it be driving or flying, neither are healthy for the environment.
  6. If I do need to travel, it is better to use public transport such as buses to get to and from places.
  7. Buying/consuming foods with less preservatives is both healthier and safer for the environment, especially nearby bodies of water.
  8. Refuse to purchase from companies known to participate in business and ecological malpractice (such as fast fashion brands and some animal meat plants).

A punch list can be for an individual, family, community, company, or city.  It is the list of the actions you or a group will undertake and accomplish over a predetermined span of time—one month, one year, five years, or more. You can make different lists for different time periods—this week and this year for example.
