Claire Hutkins Seda primarily writes on environmental degradation and the climate crisis, and their effects on historically and socially marginalized people. She has worked for over eight years as writer, editor, and communications lead for Migrant Clinicians Network, a nonprofit focused on health justice for migrants and asylum seekers. As a naturalist, she has trained docents in nature education and cultivated land connection for a wide public audience at multiple nonprofits, including with Audubon Canyon Ranch, a Northern California environmental conservation and education organization. A native Californian, she spends her free time walking the coastal trails of the San Francisco Bay Area with her family or gardening in the fog.
