AY Young is a singer/rapper, songwriter, entertainer, producer, and entrepreneur. He has performed around the world at over 800 shows using and advocating for renewable energy sourced from solar and battery power (The Battery Tour). Companies like Samsung, Verizon, Water.org, Sony, Strange Music Inc., and Google all have hired AY for appearances and entertainment events. He was recently named a UN Youth Leader for sustainable development goals, performed at President Biden’s inauguration, and is working on a global goals album titled Project 17 (release date April 2022).
Project 17 serves as an umbrella for an intricate partnership of 17 organizations, 17 sponsors, and 17 partner musicians to develop 17 impact projects destined to make our planet a healthier, kinder, and more sustainable world. Each song will have a corporate sponsor who supports that SDG goal, including Samsung, Verizon, and ENEL Green Power. Two singles from Project 17, “Regeneration” & “AYO”, are set to premiere in the Netflix documentary “Down to Earth,” with Zac Efron.
The Battery Tour is a renewable-energy powered grass-roots concert series that raises money through donations to promote, develop and deploy sustainable solutions and solar powered boxes for villages that do not have reliable access to electricity. It builds communities and inspires people to positively impact the world and build a better, more sustainable future together.
