Robert Denney is an environmental attorney based in Atlanta, Georgia. Before attending the University of Virginia School of Law, he majored in forestry at The Ohio State University and worked as a forester for the Florida Forest Service. As a forester, he participated in a research program to understand how forests were growing and being used throughout the state of Florida. As a lawyer, Robert has worked as an associate at a large law firm where he provided environmental compliance counseling services to clients. He is now exploring other possibilities in the sustainability realm; in addition to working as a Nexus Writer, he is currently enrolled in a Certificate in Sustainable Business program through the University of Virginia and is publishing an article on the use of artificial intelligence in environmental compliance. When not working, Robert likes to go hiking with his dog, Smoky.
